Overweight has been the main problem many people facing nowadays. It has become a social sickness to most of the country, especially well developing country. People have the changes to live a better lifestyle, and to own and taste delicious
food, thus increase the chances of overweight.
In Asia, there are 20% of people overweight. It is worst in America, 30% of them are facing the overweight problem. Chances of getting different diseases increase in this circumstances and it will continue to hurt the body if no action is taken to solve the problem.
How to define overweight
In one sense it is a way of saying imprecisely that someone is heavy. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) now defines overweight in terms of BMI (the body mass index) which is a person's weight in kilograms (kg) divided by their height in meters (m)squared. Since the BMI describes the body weight relative to height, it correlates strongly (in adults) with the total body fat content.
Overweight is a BMI of 27.3 % or more for women and 27.8 % or more for men, according to the NIH. Obesity is a BMI of 30 and above, according to the NIH.
